So, as of two days ago, I've begun drafting a plot to a book I'm considering writing. I can't tell much about the plot itself, but I'm thinking it will be a mystery/horror novel. I've always loved horror movies, and I've even had my fair share of nightmares, but I'm not really writing it because of these things. It's more of an instinctual move for me. When I attended Southern Maine Community College, my English teacher told me that out of all of my classmates, I was the one who showed the most promise in writing. We usually had weekly writing assignments that focused on different aspects of our lives; I can't say that I've had a colorful life, but I can say I've had slightly more experience with writing than anyone else in my family.
My plot will coincide with a dream I had not too long ago. It was a rather disturbing one at that, and I'm hoping to work it into a solid plot line. All I can really say is for you to read it once it's finished! I'll need to find myself a publisher, which will take some time, because I want to dedicate myself to someone who is actually interested in what I have to write about. Hopefully it turns out okay. It is taking me a substantial amount of time to write the first chapter; I've always been some sort of a perfectionist, so I'm trying to work out the details as I go along. Essentially, I'll save the editor some work!
Wish me luck!
